Offer checker for Chrome

Paste a brand's message. The checker reads the offer out of it, turns it into a rate per 1,000 views and shows where it sits against the range brands on Fluencify paid.

This tool is in labs: it works, and we are still testing it. What it makes is yours to keep.

It stays in your browser.

Turns a fee into a rate per 1,000 views. Leave it empty to use views the message mentions.

How it works

Offers arrive in emails and DMs, written every way: a fee for a video, a rate per 1,000 views, a total for three videos. The offer checker reads the amounts out of the message, works out what each one is for, and turns each into a rate per 1,000 views, so it can be placed against the range brands on Fluencify paid: below it, within it or above it.

It is built as a Chrome extension: select the offer on any page, click the Fluencify icon, and the check appears. The extension is on its way to the Chrome Web Store. Until it is listed, this page runs the same checker, with the same code.

Which data it uses

The message never leaves your browser: the checker reads it with plain text matching on your device, in the extension and on this page. The only thing either one fetches is Fluencify's published pay ranges.

The ranges are Fluencify's published pay data, the same numbers as the UGC rates page: what campaigns on Fluencify paid creators per 1,000 views each month, as the 25th percentile, the median and the 75th percentile, with the number of brands, campaigns and creators behind every range. A range is published only when at least 7 brands and 20 creators are behind it and no single brand runs more than a third of its campaigns, so no brand is ever named or can be picked out.

The published ranges are in US dollars. An offer in another currency is listed but not placed, because the checker converts nothing.

The published ranges

Fluencify publishes what brands paid creators per 1,000 views once a month, as ranges with the sample size and the month beside every number, and only when at least 7 brands and 20 creators are behind a range. The first month is on its way.

Until it is published, this tool shows no range and says so, rather than a number from anywhere else. How the ranges are made is on the UGC rates page.

Step by step

  1. Paste the brand's message, or the part of it with the offer.
  2. If the offer is a fee, add the views you expect on the video: that turns a fee into a rate. If the message mentions views, the checker uses those.
  3. Pick where you post and your country.
  4. Press Check this offer. Each amount it found is listed with what it read it as, so you can see if it misread anything.

Example

A fee in a message (a made-up message)

What goes in

The message
Hi! We'd love a TikTok video about our new app. We can offer $30 for one video, and our videos usually get around 20k views.
Where you post
TikTok
Your country
United States

What comes out

  • "$30 for one video": a fee per video. That is $30.00 / 20,000 views (the views the message mentions) x 1,000 = $1.50 per 1,000 views. There is no published range to place it against yet.
  • Fluencify publishes what brands paid creators per 1,000 views once a month, as ranges with the sample size and the month beside every number. The first month is on its way.
  • Until it is published, this tool shows no range rather than a number from anywhere else. Sign up free to see what each brand on Fluencify pays today.

Questions

How does the Chrome extension work?

Select the offer on any page, such as an email in your browser, and click the Fluencify icon in the toolbar. The extension reads the selected text on your device, fetches Fluencify's published pay ranges and shows where the offer sits. It reads a page only when you click the icon.

Does the extension read my emails?

No. It reads only the text you select, only when you click its icon, and only on your device. It sends nothing anywhere, and the one thing it fetches is the file of published pay ranges.

When will the extension be in the Chrome Web Store?

It is on its way: Google reviews every extension before it is listed. This page runs the same checker in the meantime.

What if it reads the offer wrong?

Every amount is listed with what the checker read it as, so a misread is easy to spot. Paste just the sentence with the offer, or use the Is this UGC offer fair? checker to type the numbers in yourself.

Can it check offers in other currencies?

It finds them and says so, but it does not place them: the published ranges are in US dollars and the checker converts nothing. Convert the amount at today's rate and check it again.
